Favvy
Mobile appFavvy came from being asked “Which dress should I wear with these shoes?” over and over. It lets you share a few options and get people to vote. I’ve essentially outsourced my fashion advice.
It was also my first dabble with Swift, stepping away from React Native to build a native iOS app. A small idea that gave me plenty of new things to learn.
favvy.costatus.forsale
Web experimentA small web experiment where companies can sponsor an HTTP status code and put their logo and link on it. There’s a code for everyone: 200 for the dependable ones, 418 for the tea people.
Each code has one sponsor until someone else takes the spot. It’s part HTTP reference, part very specific advertising space. Finally, a 404 someone asked for.
status.forsaleTax-Free Childcare Calculator
Web toolI built this after finding the other calculators buried in ads and spam. I just wanted to work out what to pay. Apparently that required another side project.
It estimates how much to put into your childcare account and what the government will add, taking your balance and recent top-ups into account. A simple tool that gets to the point.
